Signs Your BFT Keypad & Intercom Is Failing

• Intermittent keypad response, worse in damp weather. BFT membrane keypads wear through at the most-used codes – usually the entry button for the owner’s daily code. DIY or Call Us?

You can safely check a few things yourself: confirm the keypad has power (does it light up or beep at all?), check the breaker on the gate circuit, and note whether the keypad works from one position but not another. Where DIY goes wrong on BFT keypads and intercoms: the control board lives inside the operator housing next to line voltage.
